From full re-sides to a single storm-damaged wall in Fox Chase, we start every Northeast Philadelphia siding project the same way: a free walk-around, a look at what's behind the old siding, and a written, itemized price.
Siding on Northeast Philadelphia homes
Northeast Philly rowhomes and twins are mostly brick at the front, with siding on rear walls, second-floor bays and back additions. Singles in Fox Chase and Somerton are more suburban, with full siding. Rear walls take the beating here: shaded, close to the neighbors, and often splashed by downspouts emptying into shared driveways.
Local tip: Check the siding on your rear second-floor bay or addition. On many Northeast rowhomes it’s the oldest, thinnest siding on the house and the most likely to be letting water in.
Siding and gutters, planned together
Most siding damage we see starts with roof water: overflowing gutters, downspouts splashing against the wall, or a missing drip edge. When we re-side a Northeast Philadelphia home, the gutters come down first and go back up last as new seamless gutters if needed, with flashing and trim planned so water stays off the new siding.
